Four nights before UL’s 2014 season opener vs. Southern, Ragin’ Cajuns coach Mark Hudspeth said backup kicker Stephen Brauchle has left the team and plans to transfer.

Brauchle, from Gulfport High in Mississippi, lost his starting job late last year to Hunter Stover and was not able to win it back last spring or this preseason.
