Married to Nancy Talbot McKenzie(USL 1973) w/ 2 daughters and 7 grandchildren. Charter member of Pi Kappa Alpha, Zeta Omega Chapter.
Following graduation in 1971,10 years as USPTA Tennis Professional. Co-founded Louisiana USPTA Jr. Grand Prix Tennis Circuit, Co-founded along with LuLu Hilliard the Lafayette Ladies Tennis League. Career working in the Oil & Gas Industry for several drilling contractors, and related O&G service companies until retiring in 2008. Served on American Association of Drilling Engineers Conference Committee and currently continue to serve on the International Association of Drilling Contractors (SoLA Chapter) Board of Directors.
