At Catholic High School (NI)I played football, but I wasn’t big enough or fast enough to play at USL. I understood the importance of fan support to a team. So, I tried cheerleading. I was selected as a cheerleader in the fall of ’68. In the spring of ’69 I married Marilyn Snoddy. This ended my cheerleading career. Marilyn and I are still married. We have five children and nine grandchildren, so far.
In 1970 I left USL to attend LSU Law School. After law school I returned home to practice law. In 1986 I was elected Judge of 16th Judicial District Court, serving St. Martin, Iberia & St. Mary Parishes. I still serve as Judge.
In 2002 I began participating in triathlons. To date I have participated in several sprint distance triathlons. I intend to try some international distance events in the near future.
