In 1984, I was recruited from Guam and was a walk-on during that season, playing three games for the scout team.
Sam Robertson was our head coach with assistants Coach Stockley and Coach Couste. I was a walk-on Flanker/WR. Several players were recievers Murray Atkins, Terry Savanna, Dana Herrick, Chris Jacobs, T. King, and Donnie Schexnider (QB). Noteable players: Elton Slator. That first year as a Division I program, we played Memphis State, San Jose State, and Alabama. The Cajun Dome and thruway were being built.
