Mark Domingues (1957 – 2014)

LAFAYETTE – Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 17, 2014 at a 10:30 AM Mass of Christian Burial in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille for Mark P. Domingues who died on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at his residence in Lafayette. Reverend Monsignor Charles Mallet will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Lector will be Beau Domingues.Survivors include his beloved wife of 27 years, Beverly Butler Domingues; two daughters, Diane E. Domingues, and Denise A. Domingues; three brothers, Richard Domingues, Christopher Domingues, and Paul Domingues; and multiple nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Patricia Domingues; one brother, John Deanie Domingues; and one sister-in-law, MiCheal Domingues. A resident of Lafayette, Louisiana for all of his life, Mark P. Domingues was an excellent athlete. He was an All District 1st Team, All Parish 1st Team, and All State 1st Team football player. Mark achieved All District and All State honors in both discuss and shotput. He played in the East-West All State game. Mark played for both Henderson Jr. College in Athens, Texas and for USL. He was a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and a member of AA. Mark P. Domingues was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend to all who knew him and will be dearly missed. Pallbearers will be Paul Domingues, Richard Domingues, A.J. Roeling, Terry Malagarie, Jimmy Domengeaux, and Al Louviere.The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille’s DOWNTOWN location on Thursday, January 16, 2014 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Friday from 8:00 AM until time of service.A Rosary will be recited on Thursday at 7:00 PM in Martin & Castille Funeral Home.
