Lloyd E. Orgeron dies suddenly

Funeral services for Lloyd E. Orgeron, 42, of 315 Clara St., Jennings, will be held at10:00 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Christians Catholic Church with Father Michael Herpin officiating.

Burial will be at the Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

A rosary will be recited at 8:00 p.m. tonight at the Miguez Chapel.

Mr. Orgeron died on arrival at the Jennings American Legion Hospital at 11:00 p.m. Wednesday,

He was a native of Larose, La.; a graduate of USL; co-owner of Norton & Orgeron, Certified Public Accountant.

He was the 1974 president of USL Alumni Association; past president of the Kiwanis Club; and was formerly with Internal Revenue Service.

Mr. Orgeron has resided in Jennings for the past seven years, having moved from Baton Rouge; he was also a Korean Veteran.

Survivors include his wife; Pat Cassidy Orgeron of Jennings, five sons, all from Jennings, L.E. Orgeron, Jr., Steven Orgeron, Mark Orgeron, Matthew Orgeron and Edward Orgeron.

His father was Gus Orgeron of Galliano, La., one sister, Mrs. Noella Charitat of Thibodaux, La.; two brothers, J.D. Orgeron of Atlanta, Ga. and Clyde Orgeron of Galliano, La.

The pallbearers will be Brad Trahan, Ray Woodel, Dr. Reno Petry, Charles Trahan, Jeff Millican, Dr. Robert Roy, Carl Norton, and Fred Trahan.

Chapel hours will be until 9:30 p.m. tonight.
