Home Phone: -- Obituary: Laura Lynn Crawford Edwards – Faculty Member 1975-92 – October 16, 2014 Laura Lynn Crawford Edwards Obituary LAFAYETTE – Memorial Services will be held at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, October 22, 2014, at Delhomme Funeral Home for Laura Lynn Crawford Edwards, 74, who passed away on Thursday, October 16, 2014 at her residence. Laura, a resident of Lafayette, LA was the daughter of the late Roy Crawford and the former Caledonia Frederick. She is survived by her loving husband of forty years William R. Edwards, Jr.; her brothers, Jim Crawford, Roy Crawford, Jr.; and his wife Beverly, Michael Crawford, and her sisters, Margaret Lee and husband John, and Susan Mc Chesney. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Martin Crawford. She held degrees from Morehead State University, Northwestern University, U.S.L., and the University of Texas. She taught in Northside High School and the School of Education of U.S.L. She was a volunteer with VITA and adult literacy efforts. She served as President of the Unitarian-Unilateralist Fellowship of Lafayette, and as volunteer in several programs of the Unitarian-Universalism Association, including assistance in rebuilding in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home on Bertrand Drive, on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 from 6:00 pm until time of the service. The family requests that Memorial Donations be made to Lafayette Animal Aid, 142 Le Medicin Road, Carencro, LA 70520.
