UL Notebook: Lamar Robertson + Odds and Ends

jparrott@theadvertiser.com • Roberson’s impact • January 22, 2010

Lamar Roberson made a big impact when the UL men’s basketball team needed him on Thursday against the University of New Orleans.

Roberson scored eight points off the bench in his first action since missing two games with a leg injury.

The senior forward from Baton Rouge also hit a key layup with 2:44 left to spark a 10-0 run to close the game after UNO made it a seven-point game.

“Sometimes you don’t realize the difference that one guy makes for your team,” UL coach Robert Lee said. “Having Lamar Roberson out there was a big difference for our team.

“Hopefully he can stay healthy and produce like he did because we’re going to need it for the rest of the season.”

Roberson entered the night averaging 4.1 points and 2.6 rebounds per game this season on 32.7 shooting.
