Kevin Jeansonne Obituary
Kevin Mark Jeansonne, age 59, passed away on Tuesday, July 1, 2014. A loving father, Kevin is survived by his three children, Jordan Michael, Taylor Mark and Paige Michelle Jeansonne, and his grandson, Landon Lee Crosby. Son of the late Abner and Aline Behrman Jeansonne, Kevin is also survived by his brothers, Ted Jeansonne and RenÃ© Jeansonne (Carla), his sister, Pamela Jeansonne, and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving relatives.

Kevin had a lifelong passion for sports, especially baseball. A graduate of De La Salle High School, he attended the Univ. of Southwestern Louisiana (ULL) where as an outfielder for the Cajuns he was the 1976 Southland Conference Hitter of the Year. He was also recently named to the Southland Conference 1970s All-Decade Baseball Team. He went on to play minor league ball for the Cleveland Indians’ and L.A. Dodgers’ Triple-A affiliates. Though a sports fanatic, the real loves of his life were his three children. Kevin will be immensely missed by all who knew and loved him.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Service at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Blvd., Metairie on Saturday, July 12, 2014 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm. Condolences may be offered at www.leitzeaganfuneralhome.com.
