Home Phone: -- Oct. 31, 2017 Caldwell Cards Career Low 69 PRINCEVILLE, Hawaii – Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns freshman golfer Justin Caldwell carded a career-low round of 69 (-3) in the final round of the Warrior Princeville Makai Invitational on Tuesday at the par-72, 7,223-yard Princeville Makai Golf Club. Louisiana finished the event in 17th with a three-round score of 14-over par (878). No. 40 Louisville was the wire-to-wire team champion with an overall score of 56-under par (808). Louisville’s Simon Zach claimed individual medalist honors with a 56-hole score of 21-under (195). Caldwell’s Career Low Round Caldwell posted six birdies on the day to notch his career-low collegiate round of 3-under par (69). The freshman got off to a quick start tallying four birdies in the first 11 holes. Hinnant Finishes Under Par Freshman Peter Hinnant paced the Ragin’ Cajuns at the Warrior Princeville Makai Invitational finishing with a three-round score of 1-under par (215) in a tie for 55th. Hinnant had an eagle in the final round and posted a bogey-free final nine holes with a pair of birdies. Ragin Eagles The Cajuns added three more eagles in the final round to tie for the most in the tournament with seven in three rounds. Colin Troxler, Bjorn Gudjonsson and Triston Elston each had two eagles apiece. Up Next The Ragin’ Cajuns have three months off before opening the spring schedule on Feb. 12-13 at the Mobile Sports Authority Intercollegiate at the Magnolia Grove Golf Course.
