Member of UL Athletic Hall of Fame and earned eight letters. Chosen outstanding athlete for 1941-42 year. Played center on the freshman basketball team which was undefeated. Lettered in basketball during 39-42 seasons and was team co-captain for 1941-42 year. Was all LIC first team in 40-41 and 41-42. Selected first team forward all SIAA in 1942. Called one of the finest players to play on their floor by Coach Dibble of Western Kentucky.
Lettered in baseball in 40, 41, and 42. Played first base on the 40,41 and 42 baseball teams.
Lettered in track and field during the 41 and 42 seasons as a pole-vaulter.

Graduated in 1941 and married Verna Lambert the same year.
