Athletic Network Footnote: Mr. “J.B.” was a strong supporter of the university and for as long as I can remember cooked his famous “jambalaya” at the Alumni tent for all of the UL football games.

Click here http://athleticnetwork.net/site156.php for the Richards and Eddie Louviere as the cooked for the Athletic Network Meeting on June 12, 2003. (Typo has it listed as 2002, but the date is being changed to 2003).

Mr. “J.B.” committed to cook for the UJune 12th event months in advance, without inquiring about the specific date and time. As it turned out, it was his 60th wedding anniversary. Later, he called to confirm the date and time and was greatly relieved to learn that he and Mrs. Richard could prepare his jambalaya and serve and still attend the anniversary party planned for later that afternoon. This is the type of rare dedication and loyalty he lived. UL fans and supporters will miss his presence at tailgating and the numerous other events in which he assisted. He had already booked the Track and Field Reunion for the Spring, 2011 because he wanted to help that program. He spoke proudly of Chris Roy.
