Joan entered SLI Fall 1953 and quickly participated in many campus activities.
She was a member of the Women’s Recreation Association and a member of the 1955 Red Jackets.
Joan was editor of the 1955 L’Acadian yearbook which presented an extensive portfolio of the varsity athletic season in all sports and the support groups. Joan was a member of Phi Delta Epsilon and the chapter vice president in 1956. Later in her life she became a lawyer.
Joan was a close friend during my time at SLI and at LSU.
This good lady was a bright student who devoted much service to the SLI athletic programs and my dear friend.
(Deceased in 2001).
