August 21, 1934 – May 6, 2015

New Iberia – A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM, on Monday, May 11, 2015, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in New Iberia, for James “Jimmy” Noel Renoudet Jr., 80, who passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2015, in New Iberia.

A gathering of family and friends will be Monday from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in New Iberia.

Rev. Nicholas DuPre’ will be the Celebrant.

Interment will be at a later date.

A native and lifelong resident of New Iberia, Jimmy was born on August 21, 1934 to James Renoudet, Sr. and Jeanne Hitter Renoudet. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, and retired from Texaco after 38 years of service. An avid tennis player, Jimmy belonged to the United States Tennis Professional Association (USTPA), and the United States Tennis Association (USTA). He was a tennis coach at Catholic High School, a tennis referee for ULL Tennis, and also taught tennis for the New Iberia Recreation Department and Willowwood. Mr. Renoudet was also a stained glass artist, and also enjoyed going to music festivals and dancing, but most of all he loved spending time at home with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Lyndel Renoudet of New Iberia; daughters, Courtney Trahan and husband Troy of Youngsville, Renee Delcambre and husband Stewart of Lafayette, and Sandi Stewart and husband Charles of Lafayette; sister, Jan Renoudet Menard of New Iberia; grandchildren, Ethan Trahan, Darby Delcambre, Aidan Stewart, and Gavin Stewart

Mr. Renoudet was preceded in death by his parents.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 107 Global Circle, Suite 203, Lafayette, LA 70503
