We won the Gulf States Conference Championship in 1971 and competed in the NCAA Division II Championship in Chico , California. The other four members of the team where, Bill Daigle,Jimmy Thomas,Charles Lee, and Tommy Barry.

Our 1968 team were the NAIA national champions. Members of the team included
Jim Williams, Ken Murphy, Herb Schilling, Tommy Barry, Ben Freeman, Tommy Thomas, Don McMath, Mike Shea and Randy Sonnier.
