Home Phone: -- Assistant Director of Athletics for Development 8/29/19 Malebranche joins RCAF from Bulldog Sports Properties at Mississippi State LAFAYETTE – Louisiana Athletics and the Ragin’ Cajuns Athletic Foundation have added Hans Malebranche to its staff in the role of Assistant Director of Athletics for Development, it was announced Thursday. Most recently the Manager of Business Development for Bulldog Sports Properties in Starkville, Mississippi, Malebranche worked in coordination with Mississippi State Athletics and Learfield IMG College in the solicitation and cultivation of advertising relationships with the school’s brand. “We’re thrilled to add Hans and his family to Cajun Nation,” said Lee De León, Deputy Director of Athletics and Executive Director of the RCAF. “Hans is an extremely relational individual and a talented professional. I have no doubt that he will make an immediate impact on the RCAF, and I cannot wait for him, his wife Taylor, daughter Jobi and son, Christian to get ingrained in the Lafayette community.” A part of the Bulldog Sports Properties staff from March 2016-August 2019, Malebranche managed a portfolio of more than 130 current and prospective partners that covered more than six states. During his time managing his group of sponsors, average partnership investment increased by 205 percent. Malebranche was effective in locking up long-term advertising relationships for Mississippi State, as his portfolio attrition dropped from 30 percent to just three percent during his time at the property. In his role with the RCAF, Malebranche will focus on major gift fundraising and new initiatives to generate additional investments in the Ragin’ Cajuns’ more than 450 student-athletes. “I would like to thank God for blessing me with this opportunity, Dr. Bryan Maggard for believing I will be a valuable asset to his team, and Lee De León for casting a big vision founded on impacting the lives of Louisiana’s student-athletes,” Malebranche said. “The RCAF is 100 percent committed to preparing leaders and inspiring champions, but we are only as strong as our donors. I’ve been charged with growing that support and will be relying on help from all of Cajun Nation to do so. Taylor and I are overwhelmed with excitement for our family to call Acadiana home. We can’t wait to get started.” Prior to working in Starkville, Malebranche served as General Manager of Southland Sports Properties from May 2014-March 2016. Malebranche helped oversee a 148 percent revenue increase for the outfit during his nearly two years at the helm of the organization, which dealt the Southland Conference’s multimedia assets to businesses and corporations in the league’s footprint. From 2013-14, Malebranche worked as a Corporate Partnerships Associate at Sam Houston State, with his role giving him the responsibility of executing partnership agreements for more than 70 partners. Malebranche graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor’s degree in recreation, sport and tourism management in 2008. He followed that up with earning a Master’s in business administration with an emphasis in sports administration from St. Thomas University (Miami, Fla.) in 2011. The RCAF is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that was founded in 2009 and serves as the official fundraising organization of Louisiana Athletics. The Board of Director consists of 25 members who volunteer to help provide resources to enhance the experience of Louisiana’s more than 450 student-athletes.
