Greg passed away on February 22, 2018 at the age of 65. He is survived by his loving wife Kathleen S. Wood. Devoted father of Ashley W. Fournerat (husband Brennan) and Stephen J. Wood (wife Nicky). Caring grandfather of Juliette, Brennan II and Caroline Fournerat, Benny Marie and Duke Gregory Wood. Brother of Stephanie, Mary Beth and Robert. Son of Margaret W. Ransone and the late David J. Wood. Greg enjoyed spending his time outdoors, whether that be a day on the boat or a day in the hunting blind. His true enjoyment came from the company he shared on those trips. Greg loved soaking up the sun at the beach on the gulf coast and his many times cruising the waters. Most of all his favorite past time was being a Poppi and Pop Pop, his grandchildren were the light of his life. Greg was always a loving family man and he will be greatly missed by all of those who knew him. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Mass in the Chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at 10:00 AM. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM until service time. A private interment will follow in Metairie Cemetery.
