Just a few lines to tell you a little about myself. I have two daughters Patricia Ann Rice Weatherford and Susan Marie Rice Chustz. They are both graduates of UL and also have their masters degree from UL. Patricia is married to George Weatherford who also graduated from UL and is in the Hall of Fame for weight lifting at UL. Susan is married to Alvin “Al” Chustz. He is also in the Hall of Fame at UL for weight lifting. Both of my son-in-laws are from New Roads and I am proud to say I look to them as my sons. They also have a masters degree fom UL. Pat has three children, a pair of twin girls and a boy. She also has three grandchildren. Susan has two boys and one grandson.
Needless to say I am proud to be the great grandmother of 4.
My husband was Charles W. Rice and he passed away in 1991. He was a graduate of the University of Nebraska at Lincoln, Ne.
In my spare time I work at my church “Sacred Heart of Jesus on the Teche” every Monday for a full day. I belong to the New Iberia Garden Club where I am active member. I play canasta once a week and play pokeno once a month. I try to visit shut-ins and people in retirement and nursing homes once a week.
