Served in United States Marine Corps, 1953-1957. Served in Korea, 1954-55. Played baseball for Camp Pendleton Marines in 1956.

Lettered in baseball 1958, 1959,and 1960. Entered S.L.I. in fall of 1957 after 4 years in U.S. Marine Corps.

Married to Dorothy Hoskin when started school and had two boys,Donald,Jr. and Phillip.

First coaching job at St.Bernard/Breaux Bridge 1961-62. Went to school in the morning and drove to Breaux Bridge in the evening.

Graduated 1962. Entered public education at Chalmette High 1962-63 and then to Plaquemine High. Coached football, baketball, and track.
Basketball team lost to Richwood(Monroe)in 1972 State Championship.

In 1973 we had a little girl and we named her Abby. She is now married and teaches at Bishop Sullivan in Baton Rouge. This January she gave birth to a little boy.

Oldest son is now single but has three boys from previous marriage. Other son is single and never married. Taught American History and served as Assistant Principal until retirement in 1988.

Served in Catholic Schools for 10 years as Assistant Principal and retired from that in 1999. Drawing Social Security and on Medicare. Also worked as instructor at Foxy’s Health Club in Baton Rouge.

Birth day 7-12-1933. I was an old man when I started S.L.I after serving 4 years in U.S.M.C.

Presently living in Baton Rouge and enjoying a sort of semi-retirement.
