My name is Derek Jordan. I coached under Gay Nix with the women’s basketball program for two seasons (’00-’02), serving as the second assistant coach, while also completing graduate work as a graduate assistant. I completed my graduate work and received a Master’s of Education from UL in May of 2002. I went on to coach for four more seasons at other universities, but I have since left coaching, and I now work at NC State University in Information Technology.

I greatly enjoyed my time in Lafayette, and still feel a connection to the Ragin’ Cajuns. I’d be happy to have my email address published in case any of the former players or staff would want to contact me. Either way, I really enjoyed looking at the Athletic Network site and applaud you for maintaining all of this information.
