Home Phone: 985-869-3780 My years at USL were a huge highlight in my life and my time spent as a Sweetheart was even brighter! I danced all 4 years and was secretary/treasurer my junior year and President of the Sweethearts my senior year. Some of my fondest memories are: dancing on the roof of The Keg for the homecoming pep rally to “Brick House” (1978-this was the first year the Sweethearts danced on the roof of The Keg), dancing at The Sting on the plexiglass, multi-lighted dance floor to “Fire” complete with smoke floating across the floor! Some of the other great dances for basketball games and pep rallies were: Car Wash, The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, The Hustle and The Stripper. In my first years, I especially remember Sharon Fischer leading us in cat stretches and sliding into 2 hours of practice 4 days per week. In addition, I was a member of Phi Mu where I was President of my pledge class. I was nominated to represent Phi Mu in the Miss University Pageant and was 4th runner-up my senior year. Since graduating from USL in Speech, Language and Hearing Specialist, I have worked for 32 years with school systems in Louisiana. I have 5 beautiful children and one grandson who is one year old. My family and I have dealt with some adversities over the years (haven’t we all!) as our home burned and later trees totally destroyed our home during Katrina. (If anyone has photos to share, I would appreciate the favor of being able to copy them as mine are gone.) Through it all, God carried us and we are once again settled in a new home in Covington, LA. I want to say thank you to all of the Sweethearts for the many great times and the many great friendships. I was truly blessed to be a part of this awesome group, The Sweethearts.
