I began working with Student Athletes in July, 1982. I served as the only full-time Academic advisor until February,1998. Currently, the Student Athlete Academic Center has 4 full time staffers; I serve as Director and I have two full time assistant counselors and a full time secretary. I continue to employ student assistants to assist in supporting our student athletes.
It has been my great pleasure to have had the opportunity to work with so many fine outstanding young men and women over the years. I am so very proud of the many professionals in so many varied fields of endeavor the University and especially the Athletic Department has produced during my tenure. I am mostly proud of the fact that at one time these young men and women were in fact my students and today I proudly refer to them as my Friends.
