Home Phone: -- My father, Curley D. Willis, passed away in December 1985 at age 83. He played football and baseball at SLI. His favorite football story involved a “scuffle” with Louisiana College in which the team’s water dipper was dented in several places. It was given to the Athletic Department. In 1939 he married my mom Ruby Nagel. They both taught in Hahnville LA until their retirement. Daddy coached at Hahnville several years and started the football and baseball programs there. He was a member of the “S” Club and faithfully attended USL games in the 60s and 70s with my husband and me. Thank you for allowing me to tell his story. Karen Willis Bernard, BSBA, USL, 1964
