C.L. Wink

Funeral Services for Mr. C.L. Wink, 82, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, December 23, 2010 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe with the Rev. Woods Watson officiating. Interment will follow at Lapine Methodist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Wink was born on July 1, 1928 in Ouachita Parish, LA and passed away December 20, 2010 in West Monroe, LA.
Mr. Wink is a member of the First Baptist Church in West Monroe, La. He was graduate of Ouachita Parish High School; he received his B.A. Degree from Southwestern Louisiana Institute and Master Degree from the University of Southern Mississippi. Mr. Wink was a veteran of the United States Army serving in Special Service. He was the head coach at Riser Junior High School, head baseball and assistant football coach at East Jefferson High School in Metairie, LA, head coach at Breaux Bridge High School and Pine High School in Franklinton, LA, assistant coach at St. Paul’s College in Covington, LA. Mr. Wink was a principal at Amy Bradford Ware, East Ascension Academy, West Side Academy and Crosley Elementary for twenty years. He then accepted a position as Administrative officer with the Louisiana Department of Education. Mr. Wink was an executive member of the L.I.S.A., board member of the National Council of State Education Association, member of Louisiana Conference of Social Welfare, Partners of America, and served on the Legislative Task Force on Aging.

Mr. Wink is survived by his wife, Betty Wink; sons, Johnny Wink, Jimmy Wink and wife Carol; daughter, Linda Ann Wink Cobb; grandsons, Timothy Steven Wink, Jimmy Dale Wink, Matt Wink and Brett Wink; granddaughters, Kathryn Elizabeth Wink and Sarah Marie Wink; and ex-wife, Miss Kathyern Wink.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
