EASTON — Charles (Chris) Frances Vesper, 76, died on Aug. 15, 2014, at his home in Easton. Chris was born on Aug. 1, 1938, in St. Joseph, Mo. He was adopted when he was an infant by Art and Louise Vesper. His mother and father moved to Lake Charles, La., when he was about a year old. He graduated from Lake Charles High School and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, La. He was a cheerleader in college and was proud of his Cajun and Native American Indian background. Chris then went and studied learning systems management at California State University. He was employed by Honeywell Corporation of Houston, Texas, and later was transferred and moved to California. He was a successful business owner and the president of Vesper’s Printing of Long Beach, Calif., He moved to Preston in 1999 and, shortly after, to Easton.

Chris had many passions in life, including being a very active fisherman on the Chesapeake Bay and many freshwater lakes and ponds throughout Delmarva. He was an avid wildlife and landscape photographer, as well as an artist and painter. He was a volunteer with Easton Senior Center’s Meals on Wheels for the past 12 years. He delivered meals to the homebound in Talbot County and spent many hours listening to the aged on his various country routes and loved them as they also loved him. His favorite spot to eat was at the Easton Diner. He was a frequent breakfast patron. Chris formed many lifelong relationships during his life here on earth.
