Although Pep Squads have gone out of style, Red Jackets loyalty to Southwestern hasn’t.
Many of us, who just last year celebrated our Golden Reunion on campus, remember with clarity and pride our enthusuastic support of athletic competition while we matriculated at (then) SLI.
Ragin’ Cajuns have replaced the Bulldogs of my student body years, but the campus is even lovier, the Coeds prettier and the athletes more handsome and competitive than when I was a student.
My Red Jacket friends have remained life-long friends and I’m very proud to have been a part of an almost- forgotten service organization that added spice to all athletic events ‘way back when.
