Obituary: Billie Duhon Hebert – Sec. to SLI AD & Super Fan Over 60 Consecutive Years – 7/18/2018

August 31, 1934 – July 18, 2018

A Mass of Christian Burial for Billie Duhon Hebert, 83, will be held on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at 11:00 AM in St. Mary Mother of the Church in Lafayette. Billie passed away peacefully Wednesday evening, July 18 at her residence in Lafayette, with loved ones at her side.

Interment will be in Holy Mary Mother of God Cemetery, Lafayette, Louisiana.

Serving as Celebrant and conducting services will be Reverend Harold J. Trahan, Pastor of St. Mary Mother of the Church.

Survivors include her loving spouse of 64 years, Henry Leon Hebert; her two daughters, Paula H. Duhon (Marlon), and Julia H. Herrick (Drew); her son, Edward Paul “Eddie” Hebert (Vickie); her siblings, Luby Smith and Paul Dale Duhon; her grandchildren, Eugenie Duhon Mitchell (Ben), Isaiah Duhon (Raven), Sara Duhon Trammell (Mike), Kaelyn Hebert, Alexandra Hebert Oehl (Mike), Madison Hebert, Heather Herrick, Derrick Herrick, and Hollie Herrick; and her great-grandchildren, Noah, Molly, Maggy, Mayme, John Forrest, Henry, and Olivia.

She was preceded in death by a son, John Clifford “Cliff” Hebert; her parents, Victor and Lodo Guidry Duhon; and her brothers, Raywood Duhon and Stanley Duhon.

Pallbearers will be Marlon Duhon, Isaiah Duhon, Derrick Herrick, Mike Trammell, Mike Oehl, and Ben Mitchell.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Eddie Hebert, Drew Herrick and Dale Duhon.

The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille’s DOWNTOWN location on Tuesday from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Visitation will resume Wednesday at 10:00 AM in St. Mary Mother of the Church in Lafayette.

A Rosary will be prayed by Brady LeBlanc Tuesday evening at 6:30 PM in Martin & Castille Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions can be made in Billie Duhon Hebert’s name to Hospice of Acadiana 2600 Johnston Street Suite 200, Lafayette, LA 70503.

A heartfelt appreciation is extended by the Hebert family to Dr. Bradley Chastant, Dr. Joseph Brierre, and Hospice of Acadiana especially Karen Nelson and Carol Jackson.
