Ms. Ashley Pauly

Work:
Home Phone: -- Oct. 3, 2018 Pauly comes to Louisiana after spending the previous two seasons in the same capacity with ACC-member Louisville. Prior to joining the Cardinals, she served a two-year tenure as the director of softball operations and an instructor at Seventh Inning Softball in Atlanta. Pauly competed for and worked alongside Gerry Glasco during his tenure at Georgia. She was a four-year starter from 2009-12, helped the Bulldogs twice reach the WCWS final four (2009 and 2010), earned All-SEC Academic honors and served as team representative on the student-athlete advisory committee. After earning her bachelor’s degree in journalism from Georgia in Dec. 2012, the Kennesaw, Ga., native served as a graduate assistant while working on her master’s degree in kinesiology with an emphasis on sports management and policy. “Ashley was an extremely intelligent player and a team player who understood the importance of discipline and giving your all to the team,” Glasco said. “She excelled under the leadership of coach Lu Harris-Champer and can help our program as we aim to grow into an even more competitive program in the coming years.” Geri Ann Glasco, the daughter of Gerry and his wife Vickie, adds a background in both pitching and hitting to the Ragin’ Cajuns staff. She was the SEC Co-Freshman of the Year at Georgia and was a two-time, first team all-region performer at Oregon. The youngest of the three Glasco children, Geri Ann began her coaching career in 2017 as a student assistant on Oregon’s staff. She also served on the staffs of Mt. Hood Community College and Sandy High School and was a lessons instructor at The Bat Company before departing Oregon for Louisiana. “I am excited that Geri Ann can bring the things she learned and experienced in the highly successful Oregon program, and hopefully incorporate them into our program,” Glasco said. “She understands my offensive perspective and the approach to hitting and training that I believe in – perhaps better than anyone I’m acquainted with.” Pauly and Glasco join associate head coach Mike Roberts and assistant coach Lacy Prejean in forming the coaching staff for Gerry Glasco as he enters his second season leading the Ragin’ Cajuns in 2019. “Both Ashley and Geri Ann complete our staff with coaches, or players, who have all experienced the WCWS,” Glasco stressed. “I believe it is important we have a staff in place that has won and competed at the highest levels of our sport.” FOLLOW THE RAGIN’ CAJUNS – www.RaginCajuns.com –
