I recall vividly asking my microbioloby professor permission to skip his pathogenics class because we were leaving town for a tournament at Northwestern. He looked at me as though I had two heads!! but he allowed me to go….. We supplied our own uniforms (white t-shirts with red lettering and white shorts)and tennis shoes (no Nikes then!) I played ball with Ruthie Dugal, Pat Piazza, Kathy Trosclair,Carolyn Bourgeois, Cathy Sichuck and Melinda Smith Michiels (who has remained my best friend for 30 years).
