ADAM ROY DOMENGEAUX, 71, native of Lafayette, Lousiana, born to Adam Roy Domengeaux, Sr. and Irene Mallet Domengeaux went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 6, 2005. Roy graduated from Cathedral High School in 1951, and received a Bachelors of Science degree from ULL, formerly Southwestern Louisiana Institute, in 1956. After graduating, Roy began and enjoyed a 40 year career in the oil field services, working with Magabar, Oil Base, Inc., and finally with Baker-Hughes. He was a member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, in Humble, TX where he was active in the Bereavement Ministry as well as the Knights of Columbus Council. He became a volunteer at Northeast Medical Center lending hands wherever hands were needed. He especially enjoyed these activities because of his love of meeting people and his gift of gab. Roy is survived by his loving & caring wife of almost 50 years, June Perrodin Domengeaux; 2 siblings, Ray Thomas Domengeaux and Janise Domengeaux Huter. He was the proud father of 5 children, Liz Williamson and husband, John Wright, Karen Wilde and husband, Dave, Cheryl Butcher and husband, Dietrich, Chris Haynie and husband Dale, and Adam Roy Domengeaux, III; and the loves of his life, his 10 grandchildren, Devin, Reese and Fox Domengeaux, Beth and Morgan Williamson, Lauren and Zachary Wilde, Kyra Butcher, Samantha and Dale Ray Haynie; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many other loving relatives and friends. Friends are invited to visitation with the family from 5-8 p.m., Wednesday, June 8, 2005 at Rosewood Funeral Home, where a Vigil Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 9, 2005 at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, 527 S. Houston Ave, Humble, TX, with Msgr. Paul Procella as Celebrant. Rite of Committal will follow at Rosewood Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Adam Roy Domengeaux, III, Zachary Wilde, Dale Ray Haynie, John Wright Williamson, Dave Wilde, Dietrich Butcher, Dale Haynie, and Larry Huter. We would like to express our gratitude for the compassionate and competent care given to our Dad, and to us in our time of need, by the Ben Taub Neurological team of doctors and nurses. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Magdalene Catholic School.
