Louisiana Athletics has teamed up with RoadRunnerApp.com to offer a new series on RaginCajuns.com in which student-athletes share details on how they’ve adjusted during the COVID-19 pandemic, and offer insight into their personal lives.
 
In this Q&A feature article, you will "Get to Kneaux" Ragin’ Cajuns soccer midfielder Rachel Sutter. The native of Lodi, Calif., scored one goal and added three assists in 19 matches in her inaugural season for the Ragin’ Cajuns, helping Louisiana to a 9-8-3 record and a semifinal berth in the Sun Belt Conference Championships.
 


 
What has become your daily routine during quarantine?
RS: "Wake up, eat breakfast, workout, do homework, eat lunch, watch Netflix, eat dinner, hang out with family, go to bed, and repeat!"
 
What has Head Coach Key’s message to your team been during this unprecedented time?
RS: "Enjoy the time you’re spending with family while keeping in shape while working hard in school and soccer!"
 
How have you and your teammates stuck together remotely during this challenging time period?
RS: "We have game nights every week and are split into family groups that we talk to on the daily, while also have team zoom meetings."
 
An important question: what is your favorite food?
RS: "Burgers."
 
Take us back to when you decided to come to the University and become a Ragin’ Cajun. What about the school helped you make that decision?
RS: "The UL community and how welcoming the soccer staff and team was."
 
What is your earliest sports memory?
RS: "Playing soccer in the backyard with my older brother."
 
Growing up, your sports hero was who? And why?
RS: "My sports hero is my uncle because he played for UCLA in college and went on to play water polo for the U.S. National team. He is a great example to follow because he proved that with handwork and dedication you can pursue great things in a sport you love."
 
What is your major, and what about it do you like most?
RS: "My major is Kinesiology, and I love learning about our complex bodies and how they move."
 
What class have you enjoyed most at the University so far?
RS: "Stats 214!"
 
What are your plans after your academic and athletic career at Louisiana is done?
RS: "I hope to become a strength coach at a University!"
