Men’s Tennis: Ragin’™ Cajuns Drop First Match of Texas Swing, 4-1LAFAYETTE – Louisiana Men’s Tennis dropped its first match of its Texas road Swing, 4-1, against Texas A&M-CC on Friday afternoon. The Ragin’ Cajuns played a tough match against the Islanders. Alejo Ferrer Chueca was the only Ragin’ Cajun to claim a victory on the day, beating Guillermo Castandea, 6-2, 6-2. Ivailo Keremedchiev was on the verge of beating the No. 1 singles player from A&M-CC, Kyoheu Yamanaka, leading 6-0, 6-5, before the Islanders claimed the overall match. Hard-fought matches were scattered through the doubles competition, with Ivailo Keremedchiev and Alejandro Sanchez Gonzalez going, 5-5, before the conclusion of the double point. Ferrer Chueca and Oriol Fillat Gimenez battled in doubles but ultimately fell, 6-4.
