Louisiana Soccer Drops 2021 Spring Finale at Baylor

WACO, Texas – Taylor Moon recorded a hat trick, Ally Henderson added a pair of goals and Baylor scored four times in a seven-minute span midway through the match for a 5-0 win over the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns Women’s Soccer team on Saturday at Betty Lou Mays Field.

 

 

 

 

Chloe Japic earned a pair of assists while Maddie Algya and Mackenzie Anthony each added assists as Baylor (4-4-3) scored a pair of goals in the final six minutes of the first half before quickly scoring twice after intermission. Louisiana, which was playing without starting defender Alex Augustyn, ended its 2020-21 season at 10-9-1 overall.

 

 

 

 

Lauryn Starwood stopped a career-high 13 shots for Louisiana while Hailey Daigle and Karleen Bedre each placed shots on goal. Savanna Young added a shot for the Ragin’ Cajuns, who had six players play the entire 90 minutes against the Big 12 Bears.
