Louisiana Men’™s Basketball Tabbed Second in Sun Belt Preseason Poll

LAFAYETTE – Louisiana Men’s Basketball was picked to finish second in the Sun Belt Conference preseason poll released by the league office on Wednesday.
 
Louisiana ranked first among Sun Belt West Division teams with two first-place votes and 125 total points.
 
The rankings were constructed using a vote from each of the league’s coaches. All programs submitted a numerical ranking and were allowed to rank their own team.
 
Georgia State claimed the top spot overall in the preseason conference rankings, totaling 139 points and eight first-place votes. Texas State rounded out the top three garnering 110 points. App State received the final two first-place votes and was slotted fourth with 109 points.
 
Louisiana will take the floor for the first time at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 24 in a preseason charity exhibition game against Alabama.
