Louisiana Athletics, CST Expand Partnership for 2021-22 Season

Renewed agreement will continue to push Ragin’ Cajuns brand to national audience

LAFAYETTE – Louisiana Athletics and Cox Sports Television (CST) have expanded the existing partnership between the two organizations for the upcoming 2021-22 calendar year, it was announced on Thursday.

Entering the fifth year of the exciting agreement, the Ragin’ Cajuns and CST have partnered on live game programming and weekly coaches shows exclusive to the Metairie-headquartered sports network since the 2017-18 athletic season.

"We are excited to renew our partnership with CST, which will allow us to continue broadcasting the Louisiana Athletics brand into millions of households nationally," Deputy Director of Athletics/External Operations Nico Yantko said. "This agreement gives our fans, donors and potential recruits the opportunity to consume exclusive Ragin’ Cajuns content and to hear the stories of our University, student-athletes and coaches. Our relationship with CST has been extremely successful over the last four years and we are thrilled to continue building on that success during the 2021-22 athletic year."

Louisiana will continue to produce Inside Louisiana Athletics, a weekly program that spreads the Ragin’ Cajuns brand to a national audience. Live programming, which includes broadcasting games for Football, Basketball, Baseball, Softball, Volleyball and Soccer, also features head coach interviews, student-athlete features and more.

"We are pleased and excited to continue our relationship with Louisiana Athletics," said VP of Production and CST Head Rod Mickler. "Bringing the Ragin’ Cajuns into the Gulf South and beyond continues to give our viewers quality programming and outstanding coverage of one of our region’s preeminent universities."

Productions for CST are often generated in-house by the Ragin’ Cajuns’ broadcast services department, which additionally serves as a training ground for University students interested in working in television.
