Louisiana Athletics Announces 2020 Virtual 5KFans can participate in the event, sponsored by Our Lady of Lourdes and LUS Fiber, from August 28-30LAFAYETTE – Louisiana Athletics will host its first-ever Virtual 5K from Friday, August 28, to Sunday, August 30, presented by Our Lady of Lourdes and LUS Fiber. Participation is free and all runners will receive a virtual bib and certificate of completion. The first 400 registrants will also be eligible to receive a free t-shirt and yard sign, and will receive an email with details for pickup at Russo Park. To register for the event, visit RaginCajuns.com/5K. Age groups for the Virtual 5K are: 9-and-under, 10-13, 14-18, 19-25, 26-35, 36-45, 46-60, and 61-and-older, with male and female age group winners being recognized on the video board at a future Ragin’ Cajuns Football home game. Fans are encouraged to send a screenshot of their final time to geauxcajuns@louisiana.edu. Those wanting to listen to music during their run can visit RaginCajuns.com/5KPlaylist for access to a Spotify playlist of Cajun Gameday favorites.
