July 1, 2024 SIP Features the December 1-2, 2006 Alvin Dark Recognition and Reunion

The reunion activities began on Friday and continued on Saturday when Alvin Dark was recognized at half-time of the Football game.

When on the home page of www.athleticnetwork.net , place Dark in the Last Name blank and click the red search button, then his name. He has an extensive profile, one which includes his playing days and coaching tenures at SLI and those with the New York and San Francisco Gaints, including his winning the world series as a player and manager.

It was good to spend time with him on Saturday before the football game. He was very inquisitive and wanted updates in each sport and people. He had nothing but good things to say about his time spent at SLI. His mind was very sharp and he remembered details about much of his career.
