Saturday’s Sun Belt Conference Championship game between the Coastal Carolina and Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns football teams was canceled Thursday night. Louisiana sent a tweet a 9:41 p.m. announcing the cancelation. Then 44 minutes later, Napier was asking that it be rescheduled instead of canceled. At 10:25 p.m. Thursday night, Napier said in a tweet, "Surely we are going to reschedule this game, right…?" UL Ragin’ Cajuns radio play-by-play announcer Jay Walker liked Napier’s suggestion. "I vote yes," Walker said while quote tweeting Napier’s tweet. CCU, ranked No. 12 in the Amway Coaches Poll, is 11-0 overall and 8-0 in the Sun Belt. Most recently, Coastal Carolina beat Troy University 42-38 on Dec. 12. The No. 18-ranked Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns are 9-1 overall and 7-1 in the Sun Belt. On Dec. 4, UL beat Appalachian State 24-21.
