Baseball: Parking Improvements Announced For 2019 Season
Fan Fest area and tailgating locations added alongside Russo Park, along with reorganized RCAF parking areas and general admission lots
LAFAYETTE – Louisiana Baseball’s 2019 campaign, led by longtime head coach Tony Robichaux, will begin with the highly anticipated three-game series against No. 16 Texas from Feb. 15-17. Fans and supporters of the Ragin’ Cajuns’ exciting exploits on the diamond should take notice of the improvements that have been made to the parking structure around Russo Park for the 2019 season.
New for 2019, tailgating locations have been added to the adjacent areas to Russo Park along Reinhardt and Stadium, allowing fans the opportunity to tailgate ahead of Louisiana Baseball’s home contests, beginning at 8 a.m. on game dates. Additional tailgating areas are located along both Bertrand and West Congress.
In conjunction with the new tailgating lots, the newly added Lafayette Roofing Fan Fest will open three hours prior to first pitch on game days just outside Russo Park and is open to all fans.
Ragin’ Cajuns Athletic Foundation investors will be able to utilize prime parking locations throughout the season, with access to the Founder’s Lot, Lot A and Lot B predicated on giving level for the 2018-19 athletic year. Investors who are still in need of parking can contact the RCAF office at (337)-851-2906. Fans are reminded that RV and other camping vehicle-type parking will be disallowed in Lot A and Lot B.
General admission parking, located behind the two RCAF lots, is free to the general public. In continuation with fan hospitality efforts from football season, Game Day Ambassadors will provide courtesy golf cart shuttles for fans from all lots to the gates of Russo Park.
Louisiana is 18 days away from opening night when it hosts the 16th-ranked Longhorns at M.L. "Tigue" Moore Field at Russo Park. Season tickets for the 2019 season are on sale now and can be purchased here.
