Baseball: Louisiana Announces New Student Seating For Upcoming 2019 Season

Students will have access to new seating and lower beverage prices

LAFAYETTE – University students will have a new home inside M.L. "Tigue" Moore Field at Russo Park this season as part of the many new gameday improvements implemented ahead of the 2019 Louisiana Baseball season.

The new student section will be located down the third base line under the stadium’s pavilion, allowing students a better visual of the game.

"Our fans continue to give us one of the best home-field advantages in the country, and our students are a huge part of that effort," head coach Tony Robichaux said. "Being able to reward them for their dedication to our program is the least that we can do. We are looking forward to a special season, and I am thankful to be able to help our student body be apart of that."

Also new during the 2019 season will be student-friendly beverage pricing, which will be located underneath the third-base pavilion. Students must present their ULID to receive the discounted prices.

With limited room under the pavilion, student seating will be available at a first-come basis. Students are encouraged to arrive early to take advantage of this new gameday experience.

The Ragin’ Cajuns have consistently produced one of the most intimidating home-field environments in the country, ranking 12th in the NCAA in attendance in 2018 with just over 4,800 fans per game.

Louisiana opens the 2019 season on Friday when it welcomes No. 16 Texas to M.L. "Tigue" Moore Field at Russo Park at 6:30 p.m. Season tickets for the 2019 season are on sale now and can be purchased here.
