Athletics: RAGIN’™ CAJUNS PARTNER WITH LEADING BRAND CONSULTANT JEREMY DARLOW

Darlow to instruct Louisiana’s student-athletes on personal brand building

 

 

LAFAYETTE – Louisiana Athletics will offer an exciting new facet to its student-athlete experience with the announcement of its partnership with leading marketing and brand consultant, Jeremy Darlow. The two-time best-selling author will educate the Ragin’ Cajuns with a new online marketing course, The DARLOW Rules, dedicated to teaching student-athletes how to build personal brands.

 

 

“The opportunity for our athletic department to partner with Jeremy Darlow coincides perfectly with our mission of providing a first-class experience for our student-athletes,” Director of Athletics Bryan Maggard said. “Jeremy is a best-selling author and leading expert in the sports marketing field, and his expertise on brand building will benefit our student-athletes now during their time as Ragin’ Cajuns and into the future as they begin their professional careers.”

 

 

The Ragin’ Cajuns are the first institution in the state of Louisiana to partner with Darlow, and the illustrious list of programs features schools like Texas A&M, Notre Dame, Michigan, Wisconsin and UCLA, and major athletes that include Aaron Rodgers, Dale Earnhardt, Jr., Kris Bryant and Lionel Messi.

 

 

“You hear about #cULture often with the Ragin’ Cajuns, whether on social media or when you’re there in Louisiana,” Darlow said. “That attitude is an element in the personal brand-building process I’m looking forward to teaching to Louisiana’s student-athletes, helping them springboard into their respective futures. The University and athletic department have dedicated themselves to impacting the lives of their student-athletes, and I’m thrilled to be a part of that process.”

 

 

The coursework is comprised of short, easy-to-understand, video-based lessons teaching student-athletes from every sport program the fundamentals of brand development and communication.

 

 

By the end of the program, Louisiana’s student-athletes will have conceived and built their own personal brand marketing plans, employing the same planning techniques used by Darlow over the course of his extensive career in sports marketing. Additionally, each graduating student-athlete will receive a certificate of completion to include on their professional resume.
