Athletics: Jay Walker runs Cajun Nation through the latest on the RCAF

The renewal period has begun for the Ragin’ Cajuns Athletic Foundation (if you haven’t gotten the RCAF email, check your spam folder. And, don’t let the fact that my voice and face is on the video keep you from watching).

The new fiscal year for the University began on July 1 and that means the renewal of your commitment during the next couple of weeks will keep things consistent for the athletics department.

Now, as we all know, times are tough right now. So many of us have lost jobs or were furloughed. But your commitment to the RCAF is needed more than ever before to continue supporting our student-athletes. After all, those tough times, which included the cancellation of two revenue generating sports seasons, have hit Ragin’ Cajun Athletics, as well.

The information in the email has a personalized link for your RCAF account where you can renew, modify or increase your pledge for fiscal year ‘20-21. And, for those of you who have a tailgate, RV or parking spot, your renewal is especially important as you get ready for another great season of Ragin’ Cajuns Football. Hint: the Cajuns are going to be REALLY good in 2020.

Of course, if your gift is to the Annual Fund, you have the option of making a monthly donation by calling 337-851-RCAF (7223). And, you can remind your friends that they can join the RCAF for as little as $50.00 per year. That’s only $4.17, or one less latte, per month. Most everyone can afford that. 

And, because I wouldn’t ask you to do anything that I’m not willing to do, I have already renewed for the upcoming year.
