Athletics: GEAUX Beyond Initiative UnveiledNew fundraising campaign announced by Louisiana Athletics and the RCAFLAFAYETTE – As evident with the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns Football program achieving new heights before a national television audience in its historic win at No. 23-ranked Iowa State on Saturday, Sept. 12, the opportunity has also arrived for fans and supporters of the Ragin’ Cajuns to take the next step. Louisiana Athletics and the Ragin’ Cajuns Athletic Foundation (RCAF) are excited to introduce GEAUX Beyond, a new initiative to generate support for the more than 450 student-athletes who proudly wear Ragin’ Cajuns uniforms. By visiting www.GEAUXbeyond.com, fans and supporters can quickly and easily make one-time or monthly donations to the RCAF. Participants in the GEAUX Beyond Initiative will receive double the amount of RCAF Priority Points, allowing for existing RCAF Investors to boost their ranking and for new members to jump forward in the organization. "Like so many in our community, we have experienced challenges in 2020," said Director of Athletics Bryan Maggard. "What has gotten us past the adversity of the past six months has been the outstanding job done by our student-athletes, coaches and staff, who were focused on helping us keep moving forward. Our organization has certainly benefited from the efforts of Billy Napier‘s football program, which has achieved a national ranking for the first time in modern history. This initiative has been created to help support our nationally prominent football program, as well as our other 15 sport programs. Gifts in support of the GEAUX Beyond Initiative will help us solidify the foundation we provide to all associated with Louisiana Athletics. Now is the time for Cajun Nation to not only stand up, but help us elevate above the competition." Echoing the Department of Athletics’ mission statement – to geaux beyond by inspiring elite performance and achieving greatness – this community-wide philanthropic campaign has been designed to help sustain the success achieved in the fields of competition and inspire future excellence.
