Women’s Tennis: Ragin’ Cajuns Place Four On The 2018 ITA All-Academic Team

LAFAYETTE – Recent Louisiana Women’s Tennis graduates, Kelly Drew and Abby Johnson, along with sophomores Dana Radovanovic and Morgan Forshag, were all named to the 2018 Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-Academic Team as a part of the 2018 ITA All-Academic Teams and Scholar-Athletes that were announced on Tuesday, Jul. 24.
HOW THE FOUR GOT THE HONOR: In order to earn the honor of being named to the ITA All-Academic Team, a student-athlete, who also had to have won a varsity letter, needs to have gained at least a 3.2 grade point average (on a scale of 4.0) during the 2017-18 academic year. All four Ragin’ Cajuns did just that, each earning a varsity letter and posting a GPA that blew past the minimum requirement.
Johnson earned a 3.8 GPA, Forshag crushed it in the classroom posting a 3.7 GPA, Radovanovic put up a 3.6 GPA and Drew rounded out the Louisiana four with a 3.4 GPA.
DREW AND JOHNSON OWN THE CLASSROOM: Drew and Johnson have previously each been named to the Sun Belt Conference Commissioner’s List. Johnson got the honor following the 2015 season and Drew’s honor came after the 2016 season.
