Volleyball: White, Hole Lead Ragin’ Cajuns To Straight Set Win At ULM

Louisiana claims win No. 18; season sweep of Warhawks

MONROE – Tonice White White pounded out a match-high 14 kills and Andrea Hole dished out 39 assists as the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns volleyball team picked up its 18th win of the season with a 25-20, 25-17, 25-22 Sun Belt Conference victory over ULM on Wednesday at Fant-Ewing Coliseum.

Lavinia Tataran and Kelly Wiesmann had eight kills each as Louisiana (18-10, 8-6 Sun Belt) won its third straight match and equaled its best season victory total since finishing 18-18 in 1995.

Caitlyn Auxilien and Taylor Meade had 12 digs each as the Ragin’ Cajuns held ULM (6-24, 2-12 Sun Belt) to .084 from the floor. Meade added two aces in the match, increasing her career total to 166 and tying her with former Ragin’ Cajun Alisa Smith for fifth-place in school history.

Louisiana hit .211 for the match with White leading the way with a .308 percentage (14-6-26). The Ragin’ Cajuns tallied six team blocks with Taylor Meade posting a team-high three blocks with White and Kaylee Nemeth each adding a pair.

Hope Pawlik and Haley Swartz had eight kills each to lead ULM while Marcela Araya posted a match-high 14 digs.

Louisiana will return to action on Friday when it visits league leader WKU in a 7 p.m. contest at E.A. Diddle Arena.
