LAFAYETTE – The Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns volleyball hosted South Alabama and Southeastern Louisiana for the Ragin’ Cajuns Spring Volleyball Tournament this past Saturday at Earl K. Long Gym. Louisiana won four games during the round-robin competition.

"I am very pleased by the amount of progress I have seen in this team," first-year head coach Heather Mazeitis said. "We have players jump-serving who have never done it and are doing it well. We have players playing backrow who have never done that either. Carly Payan had a fabulous day and is really coming into her own as an outside hitter for us."

Mazeitis was also pleased with the progression of Caroline Dufrene, who "had a good day and was attacking well out of the backrow as well as the right side." Incumbent setter Kendra Hall ran her new offense effectively, concluding the overall productive day.

Louisiana will continue spring competition on Saturday, March 29 at LSU in Baton Rouge.
