LAFAYETTE – The Louisiana volleyball team earned a split on the final day of the inaugural Sawyer Camillo Memorial Volleyball Classic on Saturday at Earl K. Sarita Mikels posted a double-double with 22 kills and 10 digs as Houston (6-1) hit .243 against Louisiana (5-2) and snapped the Ragin’ Cajuns’ 16-match win streak against non-conference foes dating back to a straight-set victory by Stephen F. Austin on Sept. 9, 2008.

Louisiana opened the match hitting .353 (17-5-34) at the net with Lavinia Tataran and Sara Mossakowski combining for nine kills in the frame. Mossakowski, who finished with 11 kills in the match, gave Louisiana an 11-10 lead before Kelly Wiesmann and Chanelle Gardner combined on a block on the following possession.
