Volleyball: Hole Named Sun Belt Conference Setter Of The Week

Junior averaged 13.17 assists per set in wins over Troy, AState

NEW ORLEANS – After helping the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns volleyball team to a pair of Sun Belt Conference victories, junior Andrea Holewas named the league’s Setter-of-the-Week, in an announcement by the league office on Tuesday.

Hole, ranked third in the Sun Belt Conference in assists per set (10.47), directed an offensive attack that averaged 15.33 kills per set with a .330 average at the net. During the week, Hole averaged 13.17 assists per set in leading Louisiana to straight-set victories over Troy and Arkansas State.

She dished out 39 assists while adding a pair of kills and five digs in a 29-27, 25-16, 25-19 victory last Friday over Troy.

Hole added 40 assists, three kills, two service aces and eight digs in a 25-21, 25-18, 25-18 win over Arkansas State that completed a season-sweep. She did not commit a reception error in neither match.

Hole is the second member of the Ragin’ Cajuns to claim Sun Belt weekly honors joining teammate Caitlyn Auxilien, who was named the league’s Defensive Player of the Week on Oct. 21.
