Volleyball: Hole Named SBC Setter Of The Week

NEW ORLEANS, La. – After directing the Ragin’ Cajuns to a pair of wins last week, senior setter Andrea Hole was named the Sun Belt Conference Setter of the Week on Monday in an announcement made by the league office.

Hole, who ranks third in the SBC with 10.30 assists per set for the season, averaged 11.6 assists per set in wins over Georgia Southern and previously-unbeaten Appalachian State.

It is the second career weekly honor for Hole in her career, who was also named the league’s Setter of the Week in November of 2013.

The native of Oslo, Norway, picked up her league-leading 11th double-double of the year on Friday with a 59-assist, 19-dig night performance in Louisiana’s 3-2 win over the Mountaineers, who entered the match with a 13-0 record on the season.

One night later Hole dished out 34 assists and scored six kills in a sweep of Georgia Southern. She needs just 54 more assists to reach the 2,000-assist mark for her career.

Hole and the Ragin’ Cajuns will next hit the court on Thursday at home against Georgia State. They will then head to San Marcos, Texas, for a Saturday date with league-leading Texas State.
