Volleyball: Blair Claypoole – Community Service – Biking Across Country for Affordable Housing

One of our current Ragin’ Cajuns Volleyball players, Blair Claypoole, in involved in a community project, Bike & Build.

Please find her appeal for support in the email below.

I am biking across the country this summer and building homes for affordable housing along the way. We will travel from Jacksonville, Florida to San Francisco, California. We will be stopping in every state along the southern boarder to build homes. The name of the organization is called BIKE & BUILD. They invite young adults (18-25 yrs) to give a summer of their youth giving back to communities across the country. Each rider is required to raise $4,500 and bike 500 miles before the start of the trip.

To help meet my fundraising goal I am hosting a plate lunch sale this Saturday April 13th at 11am at Family Life Church (edge of Scott and Lafayette). I am inviting the community to join me on my adventure this summer by supporting me financially through the plate lunch sale.

The bike trip will take 81 days and we leave from Florida May 18th! I couldn’t be more excited to represent my community and the Ragin’ Cajuns across the Unite States!

To find out more you can look at my Facebook page Blair’s Bike and Build Fundraiser or check out my profile on the BIKE & BUILD website at www.bikeandbuild.org/rider/6752

Thanks again for the support! I am excited to keep the community updated about my trip.

Thanks,
Blair Claypoole
